Here you’ll discover a fabulous variety of concretions that nature shaped as time dripped slowly away. You will be immersed in a play of light and shadow, columns and draperies, eccentric stalactites and soda straws: Grotte de Tourtoirac is ‘the geologic pearl of the Périgord’ and the first of its caves to be equipped with a LED light show, providing a grandiose display for a minimum of energy. After touring the cave, enjoy a stroll through the village and the Tourtoirac abbey, where you’ll encounter an unusual character, Antoine de Thounens, the king of Araucania and Patagonia. www.gouffre-proumeyssac.com www.grotte-de-tourtoirac.fr Geologic caves CDT Dordogne Catalogue
