English tours upon request. Grotte de Domme Under the bastide of Domme there exists a fantastic world. This is the largest cave in the Périgord noir that you can walk through, featuring mineral columns, stalactites and stalagmites. You’ll access this underground treasure next to the Tourist Office and follow along its 450m of length to the cliff face. The tour will enable you to discover a series of rooms, each with a different atmosphere and completely different colours. You’ll be carried back up to the surface in a panoramic lift offering one of the best views of the Dordogne Valley. Grottes de Maxange The Maxange caves were discovered in 2000. Stalactites, stalagmites, various aragonite sheets, and a unique abundance of rare crystallisations - eccentric stalactites, which literally defy the laws of gravity - come together for an incomparably spectacular tour. The sound and light show adapted to this underground world makes the display even more delightful. Maxange is recognised as being one of the greatest geologic caves in France.
