Just after being built, its brand-new Porte des Tours (Tower Gate) would be used as a prison for 70 Knights Templar who would leave mysterious engravings on the inner walls. Under the 17th century market hall, you’ll find the entrance to a 450-m long series of natural geological caves where you’ll discover an enchanted world of concretions. From the top of its rocky spur, this medieval village overlooks the Dordogne Valley and offers an exceptional view of it. Tours available: Group and individual clients: A guided tour of the bastide.
